College All Star Games

Strengthening football and the community.

The NFL’s partnerships with select college all-star games help strengthen communities and develop a strong pipeline of football talent — on and off the field.

Both annual college showcases that the NFL supports — the East-West Shrine Bowl and Senior Bowl — impact the community through charitable causes. Created by the Shriners in 1925, the East-West Shrine Bowl supports Shriners Hospitals for Children in its mission to help children in need of expert medical care. The Senior Bowl benefits various local and regional organizations.

“The East-West Shrine Bowl merges both the game with community service by enriching young lives at the Shriners Hospitals,” said Troy Vincent, Sr., NFL Executive Vice President of Football Operations.

The NFL supports:

  • East-West Shrine Bowl – The NFL provides the coaching staff, game officials and four Legends captains for the nation’s oldest all-star college football game. The game is an opportunity for emerging assistant coaches to gain valuable experiences and showcase their coaching and leadership skills.
  • Senior Bowl – Two NFL clubs equip each team with full coaching, training, video and equipment staffs to support the annual Senior Bowl.
