College Outreach Program
Preparing student-athletes for success.
Preparing student-athletes for success.
Through this program, current and former NFL executives and players visit institutions to speak with student-athletes about what to expect at the next level, character and leadership development and the values learned from the game.
These visits strengthen the ongoing partnership between the league and college football programs around the country.
To evolve the league’s college relations efforts, NFL Football Operations has partnered with Game Plan to develop a digital college outreach curriculum. This online library of virtual content offers education covering the NFL Draft process, how to maximize college resources, financial literacy, and voter education. In addition, there are several courses available to support the roles of coaches and college football administrators. This eLearning-based curriculum is available to all FBS and FCS college football programs at no cost.
These engagement platforms are facilitated by representatives from the league office, NFL clubs or NFL Football Operations consultants. With the recent addition of the NFL College Outreach Digital Curriculum, the NFL has impacted over 60% of FBS programs across the country and formalized partnerships with all 10 FBS conference offices.
Feedback collected from student-athletes, NFL rookies and second year NFL players has influenced the development of the NFL College Outreach Program's in-person engagement and digital content. These groups have identified critical topics and other areas of interest that will support and impact the lifecycle of college football student-athletes.
