Super Bowl LII brings much more than a game to the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. Throughout the week before the game, hundreds of student-athletes will learn and develop football and life skills through Play Football events — from family football festivals to character development camps — hosted by the NFL Youth & High School Football department.

Play Football Family Festival

To celebrate the football community and the coaches and players that bring passion, fun and excitement to the sport, the NFL will host a Play Football Family Festival on Wednesday, Jan. 31 from 6-8 p.m. at Shakopee High School (100 17th Ave W, Shakopee, MN 55379). Guests will participate in activities and enjoy entertainment, including photo opportunities and breakout panel sessions. The festival will conclude with an NFL player speech.

Play Football Middle School Developmental Camp

The NFL Youth & High School Football department will again host a developmental camp on Thursday, Feb. 1 from 5-8 p.m. in Braemar Arena (7501 Ikola Way, Edina, MN 55439) for current and future middle school football players. Participants will learn football skills and drills designed that help develop football players, and will discuss character and football values associated with the game.

Play Football Breakfast

The NFL Youth & High School Football department will host a breakfast for 40 key partners and stakeholders on Thursday, Feb. 1 from 8:30-10:30 a.m. at NFL House. The Youth & High School Football Partner Breakfast will help foster further development and support for youth and high school football initiatives, provide networking opportunities and serve as an open forum to discuss the Youth & High School Football landscape. This breakfast is also an opportunity for the NFL Youth & High School Football department to thank those who are committed to growing the game of football.

Play Football High School Day

The NFL will celebrate high school football participants on Friday, Feb. 2 from 4-8:30 p.m. at Super Bowl Experience driven by Genesis. The NFL Youth & High School department will provide 300 complimentary tickets to local high school football players. These student-athletes can invite one peer who does not currently play football, but is interested in learning more about the game.

Play Football High School Day activities include a skills and drills session on the Play Football field, breakout sessions led by professionals in the sports industry and a chance to explore Super Bowl Experience.

Super Bowl LII Camera Walkthrough with North Community High School

On Friday, Feb. 2, football players from Minneapolis' North Community High School will participate in a walkthrough at U.S. Bank Stadium for a camera test for NBC's Super Bowl LII broadcast. These student-athletes will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take the field and run a few plays before the NFC and AFC champions compete for the Lombardi Trophy.

After the camera walkthrough, North High School will join other high school football players and students at Play Football High School Football Day at Super Bowl Experience driven by Genesis.
