NFL Media Celebrates Black History Month with Special Programming
Every February, NFL Media features a slate of programming and content to commemorate Black History Month. The programming captures the spirit of Black History Month and celebrates the individuals, stories and events that have left an indelible mark on the NFL.
Every Friday night in February, NFL Network will feature a mix of new series and specials, plus encore presentations of original programming in celebration of Black History Month.
On Friday, Feb. 15 at 9 PM ET, NFL Network premieres the one-hour special, The Super Bowl That Wasn't, which explores the story behind how Arizona lost the Super Bowl in 1993 by refusing to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr's birthday as a holiday.
On Friday, Feb. 22 at 9 PM ET, NFL 360: Impact & Influence will show NFL players, Legends and members of the Atlanta community working together to create a mosaic honoring pioneers in the city's civil rights history during Super Bowl week.
The six-part series Indivisible with Nate Boyer will air on NFL Network with back-to-back episodes every Friday night. Part of the NFL's "Inspire Change” social justice initiative, the series features Green Beret and NFL Legend Nate Boyer engaging with NFL players and local leaders about the social issues in six NFL cities.
