NFL PLAY FOOTBALL MONTH ACTIVATIONS

Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals invited local youth football teams to be a part of the national anthem during the preseason opener. During halftime, the teams participated in the annual NFL Flag Halftime scrimmage featuring eight teams totaling 90 youth players and coaches. During halftime of the Cardinals’ preseason game against the Raiders, 240 youth cheerleaders will team up with the Arizona Cardinals Cheerleaders for a performance. Throughout the 2019 season, the Cardinals will distribute100,000 tickets to youth programs to attend regular season games.

Atlanta Falcons

On Aug. 22 against the Washington Redskins, the Atlanta Falcons will host members of the Gwinnett Girls Flag Football League to help us celebrate girls flag football. These ladies will stand on the goal line for the national anthem. At halftime, the Gwinnett Girls Flag Football League will play on-field in an exhibition flag football game. The Falcons will also host 30 members of a high school football team to participate in Flag Crew, an on-field pregame flag holding experience. This team will hold a giant Atlanta Falcons flag on the field while the Atlanta Falcons team runs out of the tunnel. Following the run out, the high school football players will join the Atlanta Falcons on field for the national anthem by standing on the goal line. Every participant will receive pregame sideline passes, a tour of Mercedes-Benz Stadium and complimentary food and drinks.

Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens will host eight teams for pregame activities including the national anthem and player introductions during their two home preseason games. During halftime, attending teams will participate in football games on the field. The Ravens are also providing around 30 teams with a gameday experience throughout the season.

Buffalo Bills

For both Bills’ preseason home games, local youth football organizations will form Stampede Row, stand by players during the national anthem and scrimmage during halftime. The Bills will also distribute complimentary tickets to both preseason home games to local USA Football – Heads Up Football and NFL Flag Football Leagues.

Carolina Panthers

A local youth football organization will have the opportunity to run out of the tunnel ahead of the Panthers on Aug. 16. During halftime, two local youth football teams will participate in an on-field scrimmage. The teams are welcomed to stay for the remainder of the game as the Panthers are giving away approximately 2,000 tickets for each home preseason game to youth and prep-level football teams. 

Chicago Bears

For both preseason home games, the Chicago Bears plan to donate approximately 800 tickets to youth and high school football teams. The Bears will also host youth football players and incorporate them in the tunnel run during player introductions. After the introductions, two youth football players will be honorary captains at the coin toss and four youth football teams will participate in the national anthem on the field. During halftime, four youth football teams will scrimmage each other. On Aug. 24, the Bears will host about 300 parents and youth players to the Parent Safety Clinic & Youth Clinic at Walter Payton Center at Halas Hall.

Cincinnati Bengals

During both preseason games, the Cincinnati Bengals will invite youth football teams to participate in a scrimmage during halftime. Twenty local youth will line up on the sideline during pre-game activities and the national anthem for both home preseason games. The Bengals are also donating 10,000 preseason tickets to local youth football organizations.

Cleveland Browns

During the first preseason game, the Cleveland Browns hosted two Jr. Browns NFL Flag teams, along with two 11-man youth football teams, for scrimmages during halftime. On Aug. 29, two youth football teams will stand alongside the Browns and the Lions during the national anthem. During halftime, two rookie tackle youth football teams and two 11-man youth football teams will scrimmage.

Dallas Cowboys

During both preseason home games on Aug. 24 and 29, the Cowboys will host youth football and youth cheer teams to participate in halftime activations. The Cowboys will also host their annual Dallas Cowboys Parents Clinic presented by Baylor Scott & White on Saturday, Aug. 24 where 500 parents and 500 youth will hear from industry experts on player protection, nutrition and more. Each participant will also receive complimentary tickets to the game against the Buccaneers on Aug. 29. The Cowboys have also distributed complimentary game tickets to local youth football organizations and local football coaches to attend their game preseason home games.

Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos are donating more than 500 preseason game tickets to metro area youth football leagues. On Aug. 29, the Broncos will host youth players on the field for the national anthem and player introductions. At halftime against the Cardinals, the annual Broncos Boys and Girls Club football team will take on the NFL Mascots.

Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions invited over 200 Detroit Lions Summer Football Campers to their preseason game against the Buffalo Bills. At the conclusion of this game, the Lions will host a Kids TD Run. The Flushing Youth Tackle Football team will suit up to take on the Lake Orion Dragons JV White while the Lake City Pop Warner team will face the Ogemaw Browns during halftimes of the Lions’ preseason matchups. The Detroit Lions will also have the “Play Like a Lion” Pregame Clinic with 60 Special Olympic Athletes-Presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Green Bay Packers

During both preseason home games, the Packers will have four youth football teams from the Classic Youth Football League and the Birnamwood Chargers Youth Football Program on the field for the national anthem followed by a scrimmage during halftime.

Houston Texans

During the Houston Texans’ preseason home game against the Detroit Lions, the Houston Texans Showcase League had 100 youth football players as the flag holders during the national anthem. North Shore High School football coaches served as honorary captains and Homefield Advantage captains during the coin toss and throughout the game. At halftime, two NFL Flag teams scrimmaged.

Indianapolis Colts

Beginning their celebration in July, the Colts hosted a Community Youth Football Training Camp for 150 youth football players. On Friday, Aug. 23, the Colts will host two high school matchups at Lucas Oil Stadium to kickoff the 2019 high school regular season. The Colts are scheduled to hold four Big Blue Football Camps in the month of August. This traveling camp will go to elementary schools throughout central Indiana to put on a 90-minute, non-contact football camp for kids in grades 2-5. Through those four camps, 1,200 kids are expected to participate.

Jacksonville Jaguars

On Aug. 15, Pop Warner football players from the Tiny Mites Oceanway Buccaneers lined up next to the Jaguars during the national anthem, while players from Flagler Warriors Football and Cheer held the American flags.  At halftime, the Jax Beach Jaguars Pop Warner youth football team competed against Jaxson de Ville and his team of local and NFL mascots.  On Aug. 25, the Jaguars will host the St. Augustine School of Deaf and Blind Girls Flag team for pregame festivities.  The Jaguars are also distributing 2,000 tickets to local youth football and cheer organizations.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs held several youth-centric community events, including hosting more than 6,000 local youth football athletes at Arrowhead for the game against the 49ers on Aug. 10. The Chiefs also invited two youth teams from Kansas and two youth teams from Missouri to watch pregame warmups and be a part of the national Anthem. The four teams will participate in a halftime scrimmage.

Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins distributed complimentary game tickets to youth football organizations in the Miami area. During both preseason games, the Dolphins invited youth football teams to participate on field during player introductions. During halftimes of the preseason games, youth football leagues will participate in modified on-field scrimmages.

Los Angeles Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers hosted a youth and high school football day during training camp. During their preseason game against the Saints on Aug. 18, two tackle teams and two flag teams will scrimmage during pregame. During halftime, local high school football quarterbacks and other skill players will participate in a skills challenge.

Los Angeles Rams

At the Los Angeles Rams preseason game in Hawaii, the Rams will recognize the 7-on-7 and Big Man Champions from tournaments held in Hawaii in June. Six people from each team will serve as sideline captains and be recognized during the game, followed by a video board feature. During the Aug. 24 game against the Broncos, the Watts Rams will participate in a pregame on-field scrimmage. Jayden Gelin, an 11-year old wide receiver from Laced Facts Training Facility, will be joined by Meryland Gonzalez, a 13-year-old female boxing champion as coin toss captains. Cathedral and Norco High School, the winners of the Rams and Nike 11-On tournament, will have the honor of lighting the Coliseum torch. During halftime, four local teams will have an on-field scrimmage.

Minnesota Vikings

On Aug. 18, the Vikings will host a High School Football Skills Challenge during halftime against the Seahawks. The preliminary rounds to this challenge were held for six high school football teams during training camp. Bloomington Kennedy and St. Thomas Academy will compete during halftime. The winner of the skills challenge will receive a $2,500 donation to their football program.

New England Patriots

The New England Patriots have invited four flag teams, two boys teams and two girls teams, to compete at halftime during the preseason game on Thursday, Aug. 22 against the Panthers. On Aug. 29, four New England Pop Warner teams will also compete at halftime during the preseason game against the New York Giants.

New Orleans Saints

On Friday, Aug. 9, the New Orleans Saints hosted scrimmages for four youth tackle teams during halftime. On Thursday, Aug. 29, local high school teams will serve as flag holders during the pregame ceremony. At halftime, four additional youth flag football teams from Drew Brees’ FNA League will scrimmage.

New York Giants

Jabril Peppers of the New York Giants partnered with United Rentals to surprise the East Orange Hurricanes and East Orange Wildcats with a $5,000 Riddell equipment grants. Binghamton Recreation Football will participate in pregame ceremonies on Aug. 16. The Giants will give away more than 3,000 complimentary tickets to their two preseason home games. Ahead of each game, the New York Giants have invited young fans to put on a flag football belt, catch a pass and try to score a touchdown against Giants Legends on the turf field inside of the MetLife Gate from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

New York Jets

The New York Jets will host youth flag football teams and 7-on-7 scrimmages during pregame ceremonies of their Aug. 29 preseason matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Oakland Raiders

On Aug. 10, 1,500 youth football athletes and coaches attended the Raiders’ preseason game against the Rams. Youth football players from the Hayward Lancers participated in warmups and the national anthem from the sideline. The jumbotron also featured youth football teams’ highlights from previous season and activities in the community.

Philadelphia Eagles

During both home preseason games, the Eagles will distribute tickets to local youth football leagues. Against the Ravens on Aug. 22, 12 athletes will serve for the Halftime Highfiver while four teams from LYAA will participate in two youth football scrimmages. A check presentation for $200,000 will be presented to the Philadelphia School District for the John Bartram Field Project.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Two local youth football teams will stand with the Pittsburgh Steelers during the national anthem and participate in a halftime football game during the preseason games. The Steelers will also invite tackle and flag teams to participate in their Terrible Towel Unfurl before players are introduced. During training camp, Heads Up Football teams will be in attendance to participate in special events.

San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers hosted a PREP Flag football scrimmage with their partners at Sunnyvale PAL (Police Activities League) on Aug. 10. On Aug. 27, 40 players from PREP Flag Football and Santa Clara PAL League will participate in the annual Kickoff Event by sharing positive stories from their experiences playing flag football. Fifty additional players and coaches from the 49ers PREP Flag Football and City of Patterson League will take part in the national anthem and pregame activities during the game against the Chargers.

Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks hosted NFL Flag football games during halftime of their Aug. 8 preseason game against the Denver Broncos.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

To celebrate Play Football Month, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will highlight youth and high school football teams throughout the Aug. 23 game against the Cleveland Browns. Students from Robinson High School, Alonso High School and the 2019 Girls High School Flag Football Champion teams will also serve as both the Honorary Flag Runners and Honorary Guests of the Game. Also, four Bay Area youth teams will participate in a scrimmage during halftime.

Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans will host youth football halftime scrimmages and have youth football teams participate in pregame ceremonies during both preseason games. Five thousand tickets will also be distributed to local teams for both preseason games.

Washington Redskins

The Redskins Charitable Foundation will host 15 student-athletes from a local high school football team in Washington D.C. at the Redskins first preseason home game against the Cincinnati Bengals. The students-athletes will be on the field during warm-ups and the national anthem. Tickets will also be distributed to youth football groups in the area to attend the game.
