The Arizona Cardinals will return to Mexico as the home team for the first time since they played in the NFL’s inaugural international regular-season game against the San Francisco 49ers in 2005. It will be the fifth regular-season game played in Mexico at Estadio Azteca.
“We are incredibly excited to be returning to Estadio Azteca where we had such a positive experience in 2005,” said Cardinals Chairman and President Michael Bidwill. “The Cardinals are very appreciative of the support we receive from fans in Mexico and look forward to a tremendous experience.”
Additional game details, including the visiting team, date and kickoff time, will be released at a later date.
