NFL Legends Jim Kelly, Emmitt Smith, Brian Urlacher and Demarcus Ware will serve as 2019 Pro Bowl Legends Captains.

Kelly (offense) and Ware (defense) will lead the AFC, while Smith (offense) and Urlacher (defense) will lead the NFC. The four Legends Captains will serve as mentors for the Pro Bowl players. The captains will be on the sidelines on gameday and will attend events throughout Pro Bowl Week in Orlando.

Jim Kelly: A member of the 2002 Pro Football Hall of Fame class, Kelly was a five-time Pro Bowl selection during his 11-year career with the Buffalo Bills. He appeared in four consecutive Super Bowl games (XXV-XXVIII). Jim Kelly played college football at the University of Miami and was inducted into the university's hall of fame in 1992. Kelly established the Kelly for Kids Foundation in 1986 to help improve the quality of life of disabled and disadvantaged children in Western New York. Since retiring, Kelly has established Hunter's Hope, a foundation named in honor of his son Hunter, on behalf of Krabbe patients.

Emmitt Smith: A member of the 2010 Pro Football Hall of Fame class, Smith was an eight-time Pro Bowl selection in 15 seasons with the Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals. He is a three-time Super Bowl Champion and Super Bowl XXVIII MVP. Smith was voted AP NFL Most Valuable Player in 1993 and was a member of the NFL 1990s’ All-Decade Team. The highly decorated running back is the NFL's all-time leader in rushing yards (18,355) and rushing touchdowns (164). He was a unanimous All-American at the University of Florida; and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2006.

Brian Urlacher: An eight-time Pro Bowl selection and member of the 2018 Pro Football Hall of Fame class, Urlacher spent his entire 13-year career with the Chicago Bears. He was NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2000, NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2005 and was a member of the 2000s All-Decade Team.

Demarcus Ware: A nine-time Pro Bowl selection and four-time First Team All-Pro, Ware played for the Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos during his 12-year NFL career. The two-time NFL sack leader was a member of the Super Bowl 50 Broncos team and the NFL 2000s’ All-Decade Team. He is a two-time winner of the Butkus Award—given to the best linebackers in America who also uphold the responsibility of serving others.
