More than 100 NFL Legends and their significant others will take part in the NFL’s Bridge to Success program from Oct. 18-21 in San Diego. Hosted annually, Bridge to Success will provide players the opportunity to celebrate their past career, assess their present, and provide them with best practices and actionable items to promote future success.

On day one, each attendee will be paired with a transition coach to develop personal goals and identify the resources needed to reach them. In addition to personalized mentorship, throughout the program participants will engage in panels, breakout sessions, and networking designed to prepare them for the next chapter of their lives and post-football careers.

 “The Bridge to Success meets a very real need for former NFL players during their transition into a post-football career,” said Keith Elias, Director of NFL Player Engagement, and Former New York Giants and Indianapolis Colts Running Back. “I look forward to helping inspire this next round of NFL Legends and hope that we provide them valuable insight that propels them into the next chapter of their lives.”

This year’s agenda features sessions with topics on NFL player benefits, interview training, LinkedIn training, introductions to careers in various industries, and more. The program also includes a networking event, encouraging all attendees grow their professional connections. Over 40 Fortune 500 companies, including Amazon and Pepsi, will be onsite to meet with and interview attendees on the final day of the program.

“Every player’s transition is unique. Some struggle more than others, but we all go through it”, said Ben Hartstock, 2016 Bridge to Success participant. “Through this program, I enjoyed reconnecting with teammates and meeting players who came before and after my time. We learned about available resources provided by the NFL and NFLPA and were led through several insightful exercises that helped provide clarity in our career, relationships, personal development and more.”
